Necro F*cks Australia Tour – May 2009

THE KING OF DEATH RAP returns to Australia & New Zealand

Following a thrilling sold out debut Australian tour in 2007, fans will be delighted to hear that Illusive Entertainment and Killrockstar are proud to announce that The King Of Death Rap NECRO will be bringing his show back to Australia and New Zealand for his biggest tour to date. Catch Necro performing live in Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Adelaide before crossing over to perform in Auckland this May and June.

Brooklyn born and raised rapper Necro started off by playing guitar in bands until 1990. It would be the influence of his older brother Ill Bill (an acclaimed artist in his own right) who would switch his interest towards hip hop music. 1991 saw Necro receive recognition for his craft, when he won a demo contest on the infamous Stretch and Bobbito Radio Show in NYC. This appearance and other radio shows over the next few years would give Necro a massive street buzz before releasing his first record.

It would be in 1996 through 99, that Necro released a series of top 5 college radio singles, including “Bury You With Satan” which reached number 1 on American college radio charts. Over the past decade, Necro has established himself as one of the most successful crossover artists from the hip-hop genre and is now also a massive cult figure amongst fans of metal and hardcore music thanks to his controversial, brutal lyrical content. With almost no commercial radio support, Necro fans flock online to keep up to date with news and he has now formed an immense online community through his website (100+ million hits a year) and MySpace which surpasses that of most multi-platinum artists.

After his notorious sold-out Australian shows in 2007 which most punters are still just recovering from, the king of controversy returns to solidify himself as one of the most engaging, unique and provocative entities this generation of Australians will ever see.
